The main event saw a clash between giants Stefan Struve and Alexander Volkov. Struve is 7’0 tall while Volkov stands at 6’7.  The two squared off in Struve’s home country of the Netherlands.

Both heavyweights came out landing very heavy shots in the first round. Struve landed a very good combination that staggered Volkov, who responded with a nice knee to the Struve’s body. Volkov was able to secure the round by getting a very late takedown and landing some very heavy ground and pound.

Even though he was poked in the eyes twice during the second round, Volkov walked Struve down. He landed some very heavy punches that snapped Struve’s head back several times.

The third round was more of the same. Volkov walked through Struve’s arm punches to land some heavy shots. He was able to back Struve up against the cage and landed a heavy three punch combination that sent the Dutch fighter crashing to the canvas. Volkov followed up with some follow-up shots causing the referee to stop the fight. The win pushed Volkov to 3-0 in the UFC. Alexander Volkov beats Stefan Struve by 3rd round TKO.

In the co-main event, Siyar Bahadurzada faced off against the undefeated Rob Wilkinson. Wilkinson was making her UFC debut on short notice.  Bahardurzada had a very long layoff and was moving up to middleweight. Bahadurzada displayed his power early with some big strikes, but Wilkinson stayed composed. After a back and forth first round,  Bahadurzada landed a huge overhand right that had Wilkinson legs scrambling. Bahadurzada followed up with several other big shots that dropped Wilkinson and he finished off his opponent with more big shots. Siyar Bahadurzada beats Rob Wilkinson by 2nd round TKO.

Marion Reneau was set to face former UFC women’s featherweight champion, Germaine de Randamie but de Randamie dropped out just ten days before the contest. In to replace her was Talita Bernardo, who was making her UFC debut.

Bernardo was known for her ground game and did everything in her power to get the fight there. However, Reneau was very successful in the scrambles and in many times was able to put the Brazilan in some bad positions.  In the second round, Reneau started to take over the fight and landed some huge strikes on the feet. Reneau dominated on the ground in the third. She got the reverse mount and landed tons of several unanswered shots on Bernardo causing the referee to stop the contest with only 6 seconds left. Marion Reneau beats Talita Bernardo by 3rd round TKO.

Welterweights Leon Edwards and Bryan Barberena kicked off the main card. This fight was considered by many to be the best fight on paper when previewing the card. The two fighters didn’t disappoint. The two welterweights came out slugging with both fighters landing nice shots. Edwards was able to secure the first round by landing a few takedowns.

Barberena badly hurt Edwards with an uppercut in the 2nd round. He dropped the Englishman, and almost finished him off with ground strikes. Edwards was able to survive the round.
