In every sport they have their debates on who is the greatest of All-Time, on Saturday Night when the UFC was  in Kansas City, flyweight champion, Demetrious Johnson might have just added his name to the discussion of greatest Mixed Martial Arts fighter of All-Time.
Johnson who was trying to tie the title defense record that Anderson Silva holds squared off against Wilson Reis in the main event. Johnson vs Reis was very similar to other Johnson fights. Johnson was faster, threw slick combos, took down his opponent when he wanted too and dominated every exchange. He put Reis out of his misery with and arm bar in the 3rd round. He has now ties Anderson Silvas record of title defenses.
In to the co-main event of the evening,  Rose Namajunas faced Michelle Waterson in a women’s strawweight contest.. The first round Waterson got a take down but Namajunas reversed it and landed some heavy ground and pound to win the round. In the second round Namajunas landed a high kick that sent Waterson crashing to the ground and would take Waterson’s back and lock in rear naked choke and finished it. Namajunas looked better than ever.
Robert Whittaker was the star of the night! He not only beat one of the top ranked middleweights, he did it in style. Whittaker stuffed takedowns and just picked apart Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza with some bombs before taking him out in the 2nd round. The fight was pretty flawless for Whittakerm who is making a name for himself in the middleweight division.
To kick start the main card, Jeremy Stephens faced Renato Moicana. It was a back and forth fight that came down to Moicana getting a couple takedowns and several leg kicks on Stephens, that sealed the deal and won him a split decision.
On the prelims Tom Duquesnoy made his long awaited debut and did not dissapoint finishing Patrick Williams in the second round. Aljamain Sterling got back in the win column by winning a unanimous decision over Augusto Mendes. Anthony Smith once again came from behind to finish his Andrew Sanchez in the third round after possibly being down 2-0 on the judges score card. Lastly, Tim Elliott beat Louis Smolka in one of the best fights of the year.
