UFC Fight Night 105 Results:

The two massive heavyweights came out to make their marks, but it was Browne, who git the early success. He landed several kicks to Lewis body that visible hurt him. Browne cracked him to the body several times, Lewis held his hands over the hurt area several times. One time during the first round, Browne landed a kick to the midsection, causing Lewis to grab his stomach and turn his back to Browne. Though he was hurt several times, Lewis survived the round.

The second round began with Lewis cracking Browne with huge shots,that hurt Browne. He unloaded several huge shots while Browne covered up. Browne grabbed double under hooks and attempted to take Lewis down but it was Lewis that landed on top. Lewis unloaded more big shots, until Browne was able to escape to his feet. They got to their feet but Browne got send crashing to the ground by a Lewis right hand. Lewis finished him off with about a dozen of shots on top. Referee Mario Yamasaki allowed Browne to take several uncalled for shots.

Lewis didn’t hold back during the post fight interview. He said that he wasn’t hurt to the body but just had to go to the bathroom. He mentioned the allegations of Domestic Violence against Browne. He also mentioned Browne’s girlfriend, saying “where’s Ronda Rousey’s fine ass at”. He finished the interview by saying his body was tired from over training and having too much sex.

The win now pushes Lewis winning streak to 6.

Former UFC welterweight champion, Johny Hendricks and Hector Lombard had struggles at welterweight recently so both moved up to middleweight and faced each other. Lombard has fought at middleweight before, but this was the first time for Hendricks. Both fighters looked much better at their new weight class. They both slugged it in the pocket. Lombard fired bombs at Hendricks, and attempted to take Hendricks down from the clinch several times, while Hendricks fired back. The difference in the fight was that Hendricks landed several step knees to Lombard’s midsection throughout the fight, given Hendricks a unanimous decision victory. Hendricks stated he has a lot more energy at ¬†middleweight and plans on doing big things in the division.

Gavin Tucker entered the octagon for the first time and he has the pleasure of doing it in front of his hometown Halifax fans. Tucker pitched a shutout in front of the crowd by battering his opponent Sam Sicilia for three rounds. Tucker used his fancy in and out footwork, displaying quick hands and kicks and elusive defense. Sicilia spent most of the fight swinging at air, while Tucker quickly moved out of the way. Tucker also displayed a lot of showmanship, dancing, talking, and taunting his opponent several times.

Cezar “Mutante” Ferreira and Elias Theodorou came in as a very close fight on the betting odds and they made the men in Vegas look smart. Mutante landed nice clean shots in the first round, but Theodorou made adjustments after the first round and started to gain momentum. Mutante began to visible slow down, while Theodorou began to be able to pepper the Brazilian from range while stuffing his takedowns. The fight was close but Theodorou was able to pick up the unanimous decision in his home country.

Sara McMann entered the cage as the biggest favorite due to UFC newcomer Gina Mazany filling in for Liz Carmouche. McMann showed that she is several levels higher than Mazany. McMann quickly got a body lock takedown, and locked in a head/arm triangle, giving her a first round submission win. McMann called for a title shot in her in the octagon post fight interview.

Paul Felder opened the main card against Alessandro Ricci as a big favorite and he didn’t disappoint. Felder opened up the card by timing each of Ricci’s attacks with his own combinations. He finished Ricci off by landing a well timed elbow when Ricci stepped in. The elbow hurt Ricci, who curled up against the cage given Felder the knockout.
