Antonio Rogerio Nogueira waited six years to get his revenge on Ryan Bader, but his patience was in vain. Yesterday, Ryan Bader easily battered the long time veteran Nogueira. Bader dominated on the feet, and even more on the ground. In each round, Bader was able to take Nogueira down, where he peppered Nogueira with shots to the head and body, until the referee stopped the fight in the third round.
The win was the 15th win in the UFC for Bader. Due to a shallow light heavyweight division, Bader might be in line for the next crack at the title. Nogueira appeared to be a fighter that have seen to many days, and very well might retire or be cut by the UFC.
In the co-main event, Thomas Almeida rebounded from his first career loss and showed why their was so much buzz about him, when he walked through the always tough Albert Morales. The big difference in the fight was Casey inability to stop Gadelha’s takedowns. The victory was almost taken away from Gadelha in the third round, when she kicked Casey in the head, while Casey was still down. Casey was visible injured, but was able to finish the fight after a short break.
