UFC Adds More Fights to Upcoming Cards
Recently there have been several fights added to upcoming UFC cards.
First, Yancy Medeiros told a radio show that he will be returning to action at UFC 212 on June 3rd in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil when he fights Erick Silva. Medeiros enters the contest coming off a win over Sean Spencer. Silva, who is from Brazil, was once considered a top prospect in the UFC but has had a mediocre UFC career so far. However he will be entering the contest off of a win over Luan Chagas.
Carla Esparza (#9) will return to the octagon to face fellow Strawweight Maryna Moron (HM) at UFC Fight Night 112 on June 25. Esparza is looking to bounce back from her recent loss to Randa Markos. The card is being hosted in Oklahoma City.
There were two other fights announced for UFC Fight Night 110 on June 11th in Auckland, New Zealand. First, former UFC flyweight title challenger Joseph Benavidez (#2) will attempt to win his seventh straight fight in the division when he takes on Ben Nguyen. Benavidez has been able to dispatch every contender in the division so far, but has failed to beat champion, Demetrious Johnson twice. Nguyen, who trains in nearby Australia will enter the contest coming off a win over Geane Herrera.
Lastly, former UFC flyweight title challenger, John Moraga will try to end a three fight losing skid, when he takes on UFC new comer Ashkan Mokhtarian. Mokharian is an Australian fighter, who is 13-1 and on a 6 fight winning streak.
