With many fighters and media voicing their concern that Conor McGregor wouldn’t return if a super fight between him and Mayweather Jr happened, there is one person that isn’t worried. That one person is Dana White. In an interview with TMZ White states, “I saw a quote the other day from a guy from Showtime who said that said I’m stalling the thing because I’m worried McGregor will retire after this fight, which is completely false and not even close to being true,” White adds, “To get a deal like this done, this doesn’t happen in a couple months. It’s gonna be a tough deal to get done, if it gets done.”
Forget Jr. but Floyd Mayweather Sr. has even come out and said he could beat Conor McGregor in a boxing match. In an interview with Fight Hype, Mayweather Sr. said, “He ain’t nothing but talk! I told them people on TV already, forget about Floyd. Let’s throw Floyd to the side. Here I am, I’m a 64- year-old man and I’ll beat your ass. I’ll beat the s**t out of McGregor! Anytime he wants it, let’s go.”
