With many fighters and media voicing their concern that Conor McGregor wouldn’t return if a super fight between him and Mayweather Jr happened, there is one person that isn’t worried. That one person is Dana White. In an interview with TMZ White states, “I saw a quote the other day from a guy from Showtime who said that said I’m stalling the thing because I’m worried McGregor will retire after this fight, which is completely false and not even close to being true,” White adds, “To get a deal like this done, this doesn’t happen in a couple months. It’s gonna be a tough deal to get done, if it gets done.”

Dana White also in an interview with TMZ talked about the possibility of the Diaz brothers fighting anytime soon. White tells TMZ, “I don’t think you’ll ever, I don’t know if those guys will ever fight again.  We offer them fights all the time. We offer fights and they turn them down. I don’t know what they want, you know. That’s up to them. If they wanna fight next week or they never want to fight again, that’s up to them. It’s not up to me.”

Conor McGregor:

Forget Jr. but Floyd Mayweather Sr. has even come out and said he could beat Conor McGregor in a boxing match. In an interview with Fight Hype, Mayweather Sr. said, “He ain’t nothing but talk! I told them people on TV already, forget about Floyd. Let’s throw Floyd to the side. Here I am, I’m a 64- year-old man and I’ll beat your ass. I’ll beat the s**t out of McGregor! Anytime he wants it, let’s go.”

Floyd Mayweather tells TMZ of how Conor McGregor could possibly beat him in a boxing match. Floyd states, “I’ve been off for a couple years. I’m 40 years old. So, I’m a lot older and he’s still in his 20’s and I’m in my 40’s now. So that could play a major key, we don’t know. And he’s a heavy hitter.” Floyd also states, “Every time he goes out there and defeats fighters, he’s standing up. He’s in a boxing position and he’s beating fighters.”
This week Conor McGregor and longtime girlfriend Dee Devlin welcomed their first child, a boy, into the world. The name given to their son none other than Conor Jack McGregor Jr.

Anderson Silva:

Earlier in the week, Anderson Silva stated he wants to fight for the interim belt against Yoel Romero or he is done. Silva wants this fight to take place at UFC 212 on June 3rd. Silva stated on the MMA Hour, “The guys (of the UFC) no give this fight for me for the Interim belt, I’m done. I’ll go be with my family. I’m done.”
Also in the interview with the MMA Hour Anderson Silva discussed his disappointment with the UFC matching Georges St-Pierre (GSP)  with Michael Bisping and not himself. Silva tells the MMA Hour that he was promised a fight with GSP whenever he decided to return. “Dana and Lorenzo say, ‘Okay, when Georges comes back, you fight Georges for super-fight.’ I said, ‘okay.’ I trusted him, but nothing happened.” Silva goes on then to say how GSP getting a title fight right away is disrespect to all middleweight fighters. “In my mind, this is my personal opinion, this is disrespectful for different fighters in the category. This is disrespect for everybody. This is bulls**t. I don’t know what happened with Dana White.”

Michael Bisping:

Michael Bisping will be playing one of the main characters in the upcoming movie, My Name is Lenny. The movie is directed by Ron Scalpello and is set to be released June 9th.

Diaz Brothers:

In an interview with Anthony Bourdain on the series Parts Unknown, the Diaz brothers talk about how vegan diet has contributed to their conditioning. In the interview, Nick Diaz tells Bourdain, “I was vegan for years. I’ve been a vegetarian since I was 18 years old. I just did better cutting weight when I was on a vegetarian diet.”  Nick goes on to say his brother Nate started eating the same when he started fighting pro.

Tyron Woodley:

Tyron Woodley is ready to fight again and as soon as this July. As for an opponent he didn’t hold back on calling out some big names. Woodley said via MMAJunkie, “Conor McGregor wanted to fight me, he has an opportunity to do so. So does Bisping, So does Georges St-Pierre. So does Nick Diaz. So does Nate Diaz. All these guys have a chance to step up to the plate. But ain’t nobody pick up the bat.”
