The lack of pay for lower level UFC fighters have been a point of debate and controversy for a long time. Many fighters like Al Iaquinta, Carla Esparza, and Leslie Smith have stated that they can’t afford training expenses for fights. UFC bantamweight, Sara Moras has taken extreme measures to pay for her expenses for an upcoming fight. Moras announced on social media that she has started a Go Fund Me page to pay for her expenses in training for her UFC 215 fight.
She stated on social media:

“I want to compete and be the best fighter I can be and I can’t do it alone,” Moras wrote in the campaign. “In order to do that I need to be able to…”
Moras is set to fight Ashlee Evans-Smith on September 9th in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. She is attempting to raise $10,000 and currently as we are writing this has raised $4140.
