Sage Northcutt has decided he is going to have a change of scenery.
After Northcutt received two submission losses in his last three bouts has decided to join Team Alpha Male. His last fight was a submission loss to Mickey Gall at welterweight (170 pounds). Northcutt will be moving back down to his original weight class which is lightweight (155 pounds). He was scheduled to fight at UFC 214 when he and John Makdessi both got injured in training camp. He reports his injury is nothing to worry about and is now healthy.
Since moving to Sacramento, Northcutt has been training with the likes of Urijah Faber, and Cody Garbrandt. According to Northcutt, he plans on staying at lightweight because he feels he is the quicker bigger stronger guy. “I plan on fighting a lot more in 2018 because 2017 was a little weird I had a few injuries that had set me back”, says Northcutt.
At this time, Northcutt is not scheduled for a fight.
