Refunds for UFC Fight Pass users who couldn’t watch Mayweather vs McGregor
Dana White has issued a statement through the UFC explaining that those who couldn’t watch the boxing match due to technical difficulties will be refunded their money. This past weekend was one of the most anticipated boxing matches of all-time. Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr took on UFC champion Conor McGregor. Floyd Mayweather Jr came out on top with a 10th round TKO.
Leading up to the fight, fans could have paid $99.95 to watch it on PPV. For UFC fans, one of the options for buying the PPV was through UFC’s Fight Pass. The night of the fight many fans who bought the PPV through Fight Pass experienced many difficulties. There were so many difficulties, the main event was shortly delayed trying to give extra time to fix the problem. Ultimately the problem could not be fixed and many were left unable to watch the fight.
This lead to many upset fans demanding that they are refunded their money ASAP. On Tuesday, Dana White released a statement expressing that fans come first and that those affected would be refunded. White’s statement is as follows:
“We try to put on the biggest and most exciting fights. We want our fans to have to have the best experience when watching our events. Unfortunately, we didn’t deliver the way we wanted on Saturday because of NeuLion’s technical issues on UFC.TV. As usual, we always take care of our fans and will fix this. We have started processing refunds immediately for anyone that could not access the fight after purchase.”
