Here are some of the headlines in the world of MMA that you might have missed
- After former UFC Lightheavyweight champion, Chuck Liddell was posted photos on Instagram of him training and looking to be in great shape, his longtime trainer, John Hackleman was asked about a possible comeback from the UFC Hall of Famer. Hackelman said it was a possibility if the money and opponent were right. At 47 years old, not fighting in seven years, and losing his last three fights by knockout, it seems very unlikely that Liddell returns to action.
- The UFC announced that Rashad Coulter will be making his organizational debut when he replaces Dmitry Poberezhets and faces Chase Sherman at UFC 211 on May 13th in Dallas, Texas. There is no word yet on why Poberezhets was removed from the contest.
- The UFC also added another fight to UFC 211. Joachim Christensen and Gadzhimuras Antigulov will face each other in a light heavyweight matchup. Christensen heads into the matchup off a win over Bojan Mihajlovic, while Antigulov enters the contest off a win over Marcos Rogerio de Lima.
- Lastly, Absolute Championship Berkut (ACB) has announced that they have canceled the April 28th event, ACB 59, after ethnic tensions in the scheduled host city of Vladikaukas, North Ossetia.
