What’s good fight fans? Today I had the chance to sit down with undefeated Muay Thai fighter Kris “The Sexecutioner” Silck. Kris is sporting a 5-0 record and won his last fight via TKO in round number 2. Let’s have a seat with Kris and get to know him a little bit better.
Nick: What does it mean (to you) to be a fighter?
Kris: I get to fight people and not go to jail. All seriousness I love fighting so much and everything that comes with it EXCEPT dieting.
Nick: At what age did you begin to train martial arts?
Kris: As a kid, I did Tae Kwon Do but it wasn’t until I was in my early twenties I got into BJJ.
Nick: What disciplines have you trained since you began in combat sports?
Kris: I train jiu-jitsu, submission wrestling, and Muay Thai.
Nick: What camp do you train out of and how long have you been with them? Kris: Hard Knocks Muay Thai for over 4 years and South Shore Sportfighting for about over 2 years.
Nick: What do you think your best attribute is as a fighter?
Kris: Tough to answer this. I rather a coach or teammate answer this but I would have to say I never get nervous before fights.
Nick: Your nickname is the Sexecutioner. Who gave it to you and why?
Kris: Ryan White and Jeff Sollivien at SSSF. How I got it is a long story.
Nick: April 28 at Lion Fight 36 you faced a tough opponent in Jon Ouellette. You were able to finish your opponent via TKO in round 2. Prior to getting in the ring did you think you would get the finish or did you prepare to go the distance?
Kris: I knew I was going to be very aggressive and I wanted to make a statement this fight. He beat my teammate a couple months before our fight. No disrespect but I went in there 100% throwing my knees, kicks, and punches with bad intentions. I always fight to finish my opponent.
Nick: You are now 3-0 with Lion Fight. Do you believe that you will be getting the call for the next Lion Fight event?
Kris: I hope so but it all depends if they call my weight class. I’m 3-0 at Lion Fight with 2 TKOs. I absolutely love fighting for Lion Fight and at Foxwoods.
Nick: I know that you also fight MMA. What is your MMA record?
Kris: I’m 2-0 with both wins coming via TKO/KO. I definitely plan on fighting an MMA fight again, but I just keep getting Muay Thai fights booked.
Nick: Do you plan on getting into the cage again at some point in your career?
Kris: Absolutely I’m definitely going after the 185-pound Cage Titans title. I was offered a title fight but I already had a Muay Thai title fight booked.
Nick: If you could have one dream fight with anyone, who would it be and why?
Kris: I would have to say Wanderlei Silva in his pride days. I want a brutal Thai style fight in MMA gloves. He was savage and that would be a very violent fight.
Nick: Kris have you submitted to the takeover?
Kris: This is Kris “The Sexucutioner” Silck and i have submitted to the takeover.
I have to say every time I speak with Kris it’s an adventure. I wish him all the best in his upcoming Muay Thai fights and hope to see him back in the cage sooner than later. Signing off for TheMMATakeOver.com this is Nick Portella. @NickPortellaMMA.
