UFC 213 was suppose to be this block buster card but it was not meant to be as 2 main events were lost Cody Garbrandt vs TJ Dillashaw, and Amanda Nunes vs Valentino Shevchenko along with a welter weight fight with Donald Cerrone vs Robbie Lawler. But the show must go on and thats what happened.

Main Card:

What a great fight between 2 of the top middle weights, Yoel Romero and Robert Whittaker. The first round was very close but Romero did secure a takedown that probably won him that round. In the second round was all Romero with multiple takedowns and controlling the fight. In the third round it started going into Whittaker’s favor as he started landing his combinations with Romero doing little to nothing. Round 4 Romero came out hot pushing the pace and landing takedowns but towards the middle of the round Romero looked gassed as Whittaker took over and finished the round strong.  In round 5 both guys were absolutely exhausted and landed shots back and forth until Whittaker was able to land a takedown and finish the last minute of the fight on top of Romero, landing elbows. Congratulations to your new interim middle weight champ Robert Whittaker.
-Robert Whittaker def Yoel Romero via unanimous decision.
Alistair Overeem and Fabricio Werdum had to finish their trilogy. The first round Overeem was very patient while Werdum was the aggressor in a very close round. In round two Overeem took over with great combos. In the third round Werdum dropped Overeem and almost finished the fight but Alistair was able to survive and make it to the judges. Alistair ended up winning a decision but if Werdum would of came away victor I don’t think anyone would of complained.
-Allistair Overeem def Fabricio Werdum via majority decision.
There’s not much to say about this fight. Curtis Blaydes grinded out Daniel Omielanczuk against the cage for 3 rounds to win a unanimous decision.

Anthony Pettis moving back up to the 155 division, where he was a title holder,  looked fast, strong and almost like his old self. Jim Miller had his moments but for the most part Pettis out struck Miller and out grappled him, bloodied him up the second round, before winning a well earned unanimous decision.
-Anthony Pettis def Jim Miller via unanimous decision
A back and forth fight that Rob Font showed that he was just superior all over. Landing shots and picking apart Andrade before putting him out with a guillotine choke.
-Rob Font def Douglas Silva de Andrade via submission round 2
