Nate Diaz Coach says Diaz “Needs at Least $20 million, $30 million” to fight Conor McGregor

TMZ sports asked Nate Diaz boxing coach, Richard Perez, what it would take Diaz to fight Conor McGregor a third time. His response “at least $20 million, $30 million”.

Diaz is the only person yet that has beat UFC lightweight champion, McGregor in the UFC. He submitted McGregor at UFC 196. McGregor got his revenge by beating Diaz at UFC 202. The Irishman beat him by unanimous decision after a war.

McGregor has since won the UFC lightweight title at UFC 205 and boxed against Floyd Mayweather Jr. McGregor is expected to get the highest pay day by any MMA fighter in history for his efforts against Mayweather.  Some projections say McGregor might be paid between $100 million and even $200 million for the contest.

Perez believes McGregor’s biggest rival Diaz should cash in too. “They’re giving more to McGregor”, Perez states, “So it’s not fair because it takes two in that ring to draw a crowd”.

The two fighters have fought each other at 170 lbs in each contest. McGregor informed BBC news that Diaz would have to be willing to fight at 155 lbs for the trilogy fight to happen. “Now I’m the 155-pound world champion”, McGregor stated, ” If he wants that fight, he must come down. That’s a fair trade”.

There are rumors that the UFC is trying to book McGregor vs Diaz 3 for UFC 219 in December.
