The UFC announced today on Twitter today that Michael Chiesa (#10) will square off against the outspoken, Kevin Lee in the 5 round main event of UFC Fight Night 112 on June 25th in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Chiesa, returns to the octagon after a 1 year layoff due to injuries. The former Ultimate Fighter winner is riding a 3 fight winning streak, including a submission victory of Beneil Dariush in his last fight.
Lee, who has called for a fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov must settle for the ranked fighter Chiesa. Lee, who is still only 24 years old, is 8-2 in the UFC (15-2 overall), and is riding a 4 fight winning streak, with his last 3 victories coming by stoppage.
The UFC Fight Night 112 card is starting to shape up to become a star studded event with former UFC champions, BJ Penn, Johny Hendricks and Carla Esparza, former Pride FC legend, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, and standout female fighters, Felice Herrig and Maryna Moroz already announced on the card.
