The new women’s Featherweight division will be facing another obstacle. Ariel Helwani confirmed today that Megan Anderson will not be competing on the July 29 card for personal reasons.
Making the trip to Anaheim, California in her place will be current Bantamweight champion Tonya Evinger, as reported by Brett Okamoto. The news comes shortly after Germaine de Randamie was stripped of the title for not facing Cyborg.
Invicta will continue to search for an opponent for Helena Kolesnyk, who was originally scheduled to fight Megan Anderson, then Tonya Evinger on July 15.
