Flocombat is reporting that sources close to both Conor McGregor’s and Floy Mayweather Jr camps stat that the boxing match has a date and venue. They are reporting that the T-Mobile arena in Las Vegas, Nevada has been put on hold for the potential boxing superfight.
This news comes months after Conor McGregor received a boxing license from the California State Athletic Commission (McGrgeor would still have to receive a license in Nevada), weeks after the president of the Las Vegas Athletic Commission stated that they would sanction the fight between both guys, and days after Mayweather Jr. announced he is coming out of retirement to face McGregor.
UFC President Dana White was asked about the matchup by TMZ and responded by saying, “the fight is nowhere near being done.” White went on to add “there is no target date whatsoever.
Neither McGregor nor Mayweather Jr.have commented about the news.
