Professional two-weight boxing champion, Jessie Vargas has claimed that UFC lightweight champion, Conor McGregor has been knocked out in sparring while preparing for his boxing match against Floyd Mayweather Jr. Vargas informed Villainfy Media during a video interview.
“He got knocked out in sparring already”, Vargas stated. He would go on to say that he received the information because “the boxing world is small; it’s a small circle”. Vargas would go on to say that he is “looking forward to Floyd winning by knockout”. He would also go on to predict that Mayweather wins within “6 or 7 rounds”.
McGregor, who will be making his professional boxing debut, has reportingly recruited both amateur and professional boxers as sparring partners.
One of his sparring partner, Tiernan Bradley has disputed the reports. The Irish pro boxer stated that “McGregor has lifted him off his feet by a right uppercut with 16 oz gloves on”.
McGregor will face MayweatherJr in a boxing match on August 26th in Las Vegas, Nevada.
