As expected, Max Holloway (19-3 MMA, 15-3 UFC) will defend his featherweight championship belt against Frankie Edgar (22-5-1 MMA, 16-5-1 UFC) at UFC 222.
The fight was supposed to happen on December 2, 2017, as the main event of UFC 218. However, Edgar had to pull out due to injury and was replaced by Jose Aldo. Holloway now looks to defend his belt for a second consecutive time and extend his winning streak to twelve. Former UFC lightweight champion, Frankie Edgar will be a tough challenge as he comes from two impressive wins over Jeremy Stephens and Yair Rodriguez.
UFC 222 is set for March 3rd in Las Vegas, Nevada.
