Mark Hunt will take on Curtis Blaydes
According to The Daily Telegraph, the UFC has announced that Mark Hunt will take on Curtis Blaydes at UFC 221. This comes shortly after Mark Hunt was medically cleared to return to fighting. Hunt had been removed from a fight against Marcin Tybura back in October by the UFC for “medical reasons.” Since then, 3 doctors have medically cleared Hunt to return to fighting. After being pulled from the fight, Hunt had some choice words for the UFC and Dana White.
Hunt comes into this fight with a win over Derrick Lewis back in June at UFC Fight Night 110. Hunt won the fight in the 4th round by TKO. Blaydes will also be coming into this fight coming off a win against Alexey Oleynik in November at UFC 217. A fight that Blaydes won by 2nd round TKO (doctor’s stoppage)
UFC 221 is set to take place on February 11th, at UFC 221. UFC 221 is being held in Perth, Western Australia. The event will be headlined by Robert Whittaker vs Luke Rockhold for the men’s middleweight title.
