Marion Reneau to Now Face Sara McMann at UFC on Fox 28

MMAJunkie is reporting that Marion Reneau will face Sara McMann at UFC on Fox 28

Reneau was originally set to fight against Tonya Evinger at UFC Fight Night 126 on February 18th in Austin, Texas. She will be making her 8th appearance in the UFC and holds a 4-2-1 record in the organization. Reneau enters the contest off of a win over Talita Bernardo at UFC Fight Night 115.

McMann is an Olympic silver medalist in wrestling. She will be fighting for the 10th time in the UFC. The wrestler has a 5-4 record in the UFC. She once challenged for the bantamweight title but lost to then-champion, Ronda Rousey by 1st round TKO. McMann last fought at UFC 215 when she was upset by Ketlen Vieira.

McMann was originally reported to be fighting bantamweight champion, Yana Kunitskaya at the event. The UFC has changed McMann’s opponent. The UFC has not yet reported if Kuntskaya will remain on the card.


UFC on Fox 28 is scheduled for February 28th in Orlando, Florida.
