Kurt Holobaugh vs Matt Bessett Headlines First Tuesday Night Contenders Series

Two regional champions will headline the series premier of the Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contenders Series. The two champions are Titan FC interim lightweight champion, Kurt Holobaugh, and CES MMA featherweight champion, Matt Bessett.

Holobaugh is riding a three fight winning streak including a knock out of Gesias “JZ” Calvancanti in his last fight to win the interim title. Holobaugh is a UFC veteran. He fought at UFC 159, losing a decision to Steven Siler.

Bessett enters the contest riding a seven fight winning streak which includes stopping all seven opponents.

The two will face off on July 11th from the Ultimate Fighter Gym in Las Vegas, Nevada. The fight will be regulated by the Nevada State Athletic Commission and will count on the fighter’s official record. The fight will air on UFC Fight Pass. The match is expected to be held at featherweight.
