The long-awaited bout welterweight bout between prospects Kamaru Usman and Emil Meek has been rescheduled.
Both fighters were supposed to touch gloves at UFC 219. However, Norwegian fighter Meek was hindered with Visa Issues. He finally got his Visa two weeks ago, unfortunately, the ship for Usman to fight in the Vegas at 219 had already sailed. Therefore, the bout is rescheduled for three weeks later.
Usman (11-1) will be looking to continue his undefeated run in the UFC, most recently finishing Sergio Moraes via 1st round knockout. Meek (9-2) will be looking for his second UFC win after beating Jordan Meins in his debut via unanimous decision.
UFC 220 is scheduled to take place at the TD Garden in Boston on January 20. The card will feature two title bouts with Stipe Miocic defending his heavyweight crown against up and comer Francis Ngannou. Also, Volkan Oezdemir will be looking to take the light heavyweight title from Daniel Cormier.
