Jo Valée (6-2) vs Ali “The Monster” Mokdad (6-3, 1NC) set for TKO 42.
Valée (6-2) is looking to rebound after recently losing to newly crowned TKO middleweight champion Marc-André “Power Bar” Barriault (9-1) via second round technical knockout at TKO 39. That fight snapped a 5 fight win streak for Valée.
Mokdad (6-3,1NC) has not competed in Mixed Martial Arts since 2015, where he fought to a 13 second No Contest against Matt “The Riotmaker” Baker (14-9,1NC) at WSOF 18: Moraes vs Hill. Prior to that bout, Mokdad did not compete in Mixed Martial Arts for another three years, losing to now UFC fighter Elias “The Spartan” Theodorou (14-2) via unanimous decison at Score Fighting Series 7 back in 2012. Mokdad only other professional Mixed Martial Arts loses came to UFC light heavyweight Misha Cirkunov (13-4) and Bellator welterweight Javier “Chunty Boy” Torres (10-3). Both loses came via decison.
Despite both being former light heavyweights, this bout will take place at middleweight.
