Just days after UFC 211 card lost the matchup between Henry Cejudo and Anthony Pettis, the card has lost another fight. Jared “Flash” Gordon posted on his Facebook that he has been removed from his debuting fight due to illness. Gordon was scheduled to face American Top Team fighter Michel Quinones.
Gordon stated that he was giving an IV after becoming sick, which is a violation of USADA and an automatic removal from a scheduled UFC fight. There is no word yet if the illness was caused by a drastic weight cut.
Gordon vs Quinones was originally scheduled to be on the Fight Pass prelims but was bumped to the FX prelims after the removal of Cejudo vs Pettis and David Branch vs Krzysztof Jotko was bumped to the main card. There is no word yet which Fight Pass Prelim will be bumped to the FX prelims.
