Georges St. Pierre and the UFC Agree to Terms
For the first time since 2013, UFC fans will see former welterweight champion, Georges St. Pierre fight inside the octagon. Several news sources are reporting that the UFC and St. Pierre have agreed to terms on a new contract.St. Pierre, who successfully defended his welterweight belt in a controversial win over Johny Hendricks, took a leave of absence for personal reasons.
St. Pierre has recently voiced his anger over fighter pay with the UFC, and is a lead advocate for a fighter’s union. UFC President, Dana White recently informed TSN that he and St. Pierre were now on good terms.
St. Pierre and the UFC has not made an official statement on the news. There also is no news when St. Pierre will fight or against who.
