We have a brand new segment. Each week Chris Fisler will give his top 5 picks, for a certain top in MMA.

Proud Sponsor of the MMA Takeover!

This week Chris is going to be giving you all his Top 5 favorite knockouts in MMA history (The picks are Chris’ own top 5, and not the entire staff’s picks).

Number 5. Dan Henderson vs Michael Bisping.

UFC 100 July 11th, 2009

Henderson landed his well known right hand AKA H-Bomb square on Bisping’s jaw and followed that with a flying right hand to the unconscious Bisping. The silhouette of Henderson’s flying right hand, would become a trademark for Henderson.

Number 4. Quinton “Rampage” Jackson vs Ricardo Arona.

Pride Critical Countdown 2004. June 20th, 2004

Arona made the wrong decision trying to catch Rampage in a triangle choke because Jackson just decided to pick him up well over his head and slam Arona right back on the mat and finishing the fight in probably the most spectacular way possible. The slam looked like something you would see in professional wrestling.

Number 3. Edson Barboza vs Terry Etim

UFC 142, January 14th, 2012

In this fight Barboza landed probably the smoothest and fastest spinning wheel kick in UFC history. The second his foot connected Etim went stiff as a board and landed straight on his back without moving. An absolute display of pure athleticism on Barboza’s part.

Number 2. Dong Hyun Kim vs John Hathaway

The Ultimate Fighter China Finale: Kim vs Hathaway, March 1st, 2014

Very few men have ended a fight from standing elbows, let alone on a absolutely beautiful spinning back elbow that Hathaway walked right into. Hathaway went to 17-2 after the lose and still yet to fight since.

Number 1, Gabriel Gonzaga vs Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic

UFC 70, April 21st 2007

Heading into the fight all anyone was talking about was Cro Cops kicks and how brutal they were. Then his face met the right foot of Gabriel Gonzaga leading to my number 1 knockout in MMA history. This fight also ranks as one of the biggest upsets in MMA history.
