Drew Dober (18-8, 1NC MMA, 4-4, 1NC UFC) is coming off a vicious first round knockout of The Ultimate fighter season two veteran Josh “The people’s Warrior” Burkman (28-16, 1 NC MMA, 6-11, 1 NC UFC) in a Fight Pass prelim bout at UFC 214. Dober’s other UFC wins have came over Jason “Nicoyas” Gonzalez (11-4 MMA, 1-2 UFC) via first round knockout at UFC 203, Scott “Hot Sauce” Holtzman (11-2 MMA, 4-2 UFC) via unanimous decision at UFC 195, and a first round submission win against former WEC lightweight champion Jamie “C-4” Varner (22-11-1, 2NC MMA, 3-6 UFC) via first round submission. Dober has 13 wins via stoppage, 9 being via submissions (including 3 submissions to strikes) and 4 knockouts / technical knockouts.
Frank “The Crank” Camacho (21-5 MMA, 1-1 UFC) is coming off Fight of the Night honours against Damien “Beatdown” Brown (17-11 MMA, 2-3 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 121 in Camacho’s UFC lightweight debut. However, Camacho did not get in bonus money because he missed weight, coming in at 160 lbs (4 lbs over the non – title lightweight limit), where Brown collected $100,000 (his bonus and Camacho’s bonus). Camacho’s only other fight in the UFC came on short notice, where he lost a unanimous decision at welterweight to Li “The Leech” Jingliang (14-4 MMA, 6-2 UFC) at UFC Fight NIght 111. Camacho has 18 out of his 21 Mixed Martial Art wins coming by stoppage, with 15 coming by knockout / technical knockout, and 3 by submission.
This bout will be contested at lightweight (155 lbs).
