DraftKings UFC 216 Picks

What’s up UFC fight fans! Burchy here with my Underdog, Value, Lock & the New Risky DraftKings UFC 216 Picks.

UFC 216 takes place in the T-mobile Arena in Las Vegas this Saturday night. Kevin Lee takes on Tony Ferguson for the Interim Light Weight Title in the main event. This should be a barn burner. We also finally get to see one of the best fighters of all time in Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson go for the most consecutive title defenses record. He will be taking on the very game Ray Borg. Rounding out the main card, we are blessed with an interesting Heavyweight matchup with Werdum taking on the Black Beast in a classic grappler vs striker matchup along with a top 15 lightweight fight with Dariush vs Dunham. The undercard is littered with some amazing matchups as well. Vannnata vs Green should be a fun one!

Now let’s get into this weeks DraftKings UFC Fight Night 117 Picks.

DraftKings UFC 216 Picks

Underdog Picks

Cody Stamann $7,100 – A 15-1 fighter going up against a 15-1 fighter. Stamann’s opponent Duquesnoy is a flashy yet technical striker with finishing ability but he has weaknesses. He can be hit on his feet and is willing to trade shots from time to time to land. He also can be taken down fairly easily when facing a physically stronger fighter. Enter Stamann! Stamann is a capable striker with some power of his own and has very good takedowns. I see Stamann grinding out a decision win.

Value Picks

Matt Schnell $8,200 – Schnell has suffered two first round KO’s in his first two fights in the UFC. Luckily for him, Beltran is not a known finisher and is really just an average talent in the UFC. Beltran is just ok in every area of MMA. Schnell, on the other hand, is very good at submissions. A submission win for Schnell would provide very good value for the salary price.

Walt Harris $9,200 – Godbeer is a brawler and likes to trade. Harris is a KO artist. Harris struggles against fighters who like to take their opponent down. Godbeer is not known to do this so we should expect both fighters to stand and exchange bombs. Harris has the bigger more explosive bombs! Expect a 1st or 2nd round KO from Harris.

Demetrious Johnson $9,700 – I was let down in the last UFC event with my lock pick of Claudia Gadelha but this week, everyone in the MMA universe knows Johnson is as close to a lock as any fighter ever. Johnson will be laser-focused going for the most consecutive title defenses record against Ray Borg and he should get the win. He is better than Borg in every facet of MMA.

Risky Picks

Fabricio. Werdum – $8,700 – Werdum is the better all-around fighter and is definitely better in grappling exchanges. He should win this fight against the Black Beast but Lewis is a risky fighter for anyone in the Heavyweight division. All it takes it for one power punch from the Black Beast for him to pull out the upset. I still think Werdum wins this fight as long as he doesn’t stand too long with Lewis and gets this fight to the ground where he should be able to easily submit Lewis.

Lando. Vannata – $8,800 – Vannata is a flashy fighter who is extremely fun to watch win or lose. Usually, these fighters are over hyped and over priced on DraftKings when they first come into the UFC. Vannata should be able to pull out a win against Green but Green is tough and has faced some very high-level UFC talent thus far in his career. Green has the striking tools to give Vannata some trouble.

That wraps up my DraftKings UFC 216 Picks.

Use these picks to create a winning DraftKings lineup.
