Douglas Andrade vs Marlon Vera set for UFC Fight Night 125

Douglas “D’Silva” Andrade (24-2 MMA, 2-2 UFC) vs Marlon “Chito” Vera (12-4-1 MMA, 4-3 UFC) slated for UFC Fight Night 125.

Douglas “D’Silva” Andrade (24-2 MMA, 2-2 UFC) is looking to rebound following a second round submission loss to Rob Font (14-3 MMA, 4-2 UFC at UFC 213. The loss to Font snapped a two fight winning streak for Andrade, who previously defeated Cody “The Renegade” Gibson (15-7 MMA, 1-3 UFC) via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 61. He also beat Enrique “Henry Bure” Briones (16-7-1 MMA, 1-3 UFC) via technical knockout at UFC Fight Night 98. Andrade’s only other pro loss came against Zubaira “Warrior” Tukhugov (18-4 MMA, 3-1 UFC) by unanimous decision in Andrade’s UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 36.

Marlon “Chito” Vera (12-4-1 MMA, 4-3 UFC) is also looking to rebound after a unanimous decision loss to John “Hands of Stone” Lineker (30-8 MMA, 11-3 UFC) back at UFC Fight Night 119. Vera’s loss to Lineker snapped his three fight winning streak. He defeated Brian “Boom” Kelleher (18-8 MMA, 2-1 UFC) by first round submission at UFC on FOX 25, won by third round technical knockout over retired Brad “One Punch” Pickett (25-14 MMA, 5-9 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 107, and had a unanimous decision win over Guangyou “Smasher” Ning (5-4-1 MMA, 2-2 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 101.

This bout will be contested at bantamweight (135 lbs).

UFC Fight Night 125: Machida vs Anders is held in Belem, Para, Brazil, this event goes down February 3rd.
