UFC lightweight champion, Conor McGregor is being sued. William Pegg, a security guard at the MGM Grand Theatre in Las Vegas, Nevada has filed a lawsuit against McGregor in which he claimed McGregor threw a Monster Energy drink and hit him in the back with it.
The alleged incident occurred back on August of 2016 at the UFC 202 Prefight Press Conference. McGregor and his scheduled opponent, Nate Diaz began to throw cans at each other after Diaz walked off the stage. Pegg is claiming that McGregor hit him with a can during the incident. Pegg is suing McGregor for $95,000.
McGregor was fined $25,000 by the Nevada Athletic Commission for the incident. He was also required to complete 25 hours of community service.
