In the world of MMA, it seems like everyone is talking trash. It is now encouraged to name a fighter that you want to fight next. We will be attempting to track any time a fighter calls for a fight with another fighter in a major organization. These callouts can be in a post-fight interview, an interview for TV show or podcast, a message on social media, or any other way. The callouts can come in a respectful way or they can come with animosity.
Here are some of the recent callouts:
Francis Ngannou Dreams of Fighting Brock Lesnar
Though Francis Ngannou has moved up to the #1 contender in the heavyweight division and will Stipe Miocic for the title at UFC 220, its Brock Lesnar that he really wants to fight. While being a guest on the Top Turtle podcast, he said he really wanted to face Brock Lesnar.
“I’d always like to see the match between me and Brock Lesnar. Two big dudes. I like that matchup. I’m excited for that kind of match as a fan. … I want to see that match.”
Junior dos Santos Still Wants to Fight Francis Ngannou
Former UFC champion, Junior dos Santos was supposed to face Francis Ngannou at UFC 215, but he was removed from the card due to a USADA violation. dos Santos stated on Twitter that he still wanted that fight. He said the following:
“This fight has to happen I was planning fighting him on my return to the octagon but as we all know he’s going to fight for the title and i think completely fair. But you will we this fight trust . 100%
Henry Cejudo Is Willing to Fight TJ Dillashaw if the Champ Won’t
During the UFC 218 press conference, after Henry Cejudo defeated Sergio Pettis, he said he would fight Henry Cejudo if Demetrious Johnson wouldn’t
“From what I’ve heard, (Johnson) doesn’t really want to fight (Dillashaw) just yet, or he wants the right money. And I said I’ll welcome T.J. to the weight class. If D.J. does not want to fight him, I’ll fight T.J. I know with him, he’s a former wrestler, it’s going to be a mixed fight. I like it at 125 pounds.”
Dustin Poirier Wants a Rematch with Eddie Alvarez
Eddie Alvarez gained so many fans due to his performance against Justin Gaethje at UFC 218. However, Dustin Poirier is not one of them. He and Alvarez fought to a No-Contest at UFC 211 due to the fight being stopped when Alvarez kneed Poirier in the head when he was a downed opponent. Poirier believes him and Alvarez need to settle that fight.

James Vick Wants to Fight Donald Cerrone
After Donald Cerrone announced his intention to move back down to lightweight from welterweight, James Vick jumped at the chance to be the first fighter to face Cerrone on his return to the division. Vick said the following on Twitter.

Emil Meek Wants to Still Face Kamaru Usman at UFC 219
After the UFC announced that Emil Meek would face Kamaru Usman at UFC 219, the fight became in jeopardy due to Meek having Visa issues. However, Meek was able to secure his Visa but apparently, the fight has been canceled. Meek took to Twitter and challenged Meek to sign a contract to fight him. He said the following.

Darren Till Also Wants to Fight Kamaru Usman
Kamaru Usman is claiming that nobody wants to fight him (though Emil Meek does), Darren Till also wants the job of facing Usman. In an interview with Severe MMA, he said the following:
“He thinks no one wants to fight him, that man lives on planet f**king Pluto – ‘Who doesn’t want to fight him?’ Yeah, ok… you’re a good grappler and you can bang – I agree. You’re a good fighter. Yeah, you are really good fighter but don’t talk s**t and say I don’t want to fight you because you’re talking through your arse, you silly twat. F**king idiot. Absolute idiot. He’s the biggest idiot in the welterweight division: ‘Why is he saying shit like that, no one wants to fight him?’ Why are we in the #UFC if we don’t want to fight him; that is stupid – I’ll just go get an office job then because I don’t want to fight Usman. It’s the most pathetic thing you can ever say.“
Nina Ansaroff Wants to Fight Felice Herrig
Nina Ansaroff is coming off the biggest win of her career when she beat Angela Hill. She is looking for her next opponent, and after Felice Herrig beat Cortney Casey at UFC 218, she asked for Herrig. Ansaroff said the following on Twitter.

Marlon “Chito” Vera and Brett Johns Want to Face Each Other
After undefeated blue chip prospect, Brett Johns beat Joe Soto by calf slicer at the TUF 26 Finale, Marlon “Chito” Vera called for a fight with Johns. He said on Twitter

Li Jingliang wants to be known as the best fighter from Asia in the welterweight division. The Chinese fighter is aiming at South Korean welterweight, Dong Hyun Kim. He sent the following Tweet at Kim.
