Garbrandt and Dillashaw were scheduled to fight each other in the main event of UFC 213 but Garbrandt withdrew from the fight due to a back injury.

The two fighters used to be teammates at Team Alpha male, but Dillashaw left the team with Duane Ludwig. Dillashaw would drop his bantamweight title to Dominick Cruz. He would rebound from that loss with back to back wins over Rafael Assuncao and John Lineker.

Garbrandt is undefeated and has a 6-0 UFC record. He won the UFC title by beating Cruz at UFC 207.

The two fighters feud hit a high when they were opposing coaches during the filming of the 25th season of the Ultimate Fighter. They got into several brief scuffles during the show.

When:

The two fighters will fight at UFC 217 on November 4th at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The UFC and Dillashaw have not yet confirmed the news.
