Cain Velasquez out of UFC 207 match with Fabricio Werdum (Updated).

Just 6 days before UFC 207, and ESPN’s Brett Okamoto is reporting that former UFC Heavyweight Champion, Cain Velasquez has been pulled from his scheduled fight against former UFC Heavyweight Champion, Fabricio Werdum. Velasquez was scheduled for back surgery 5 days after the scheduled fight, but is reported that the Nevada State Athletic Commission has removed him from the contest.

There is no word of a replacement at this time.

(Updated): Cain Velasquez said on his Twitter at 5:15 EST “Haven’t heard I’m out of #ufc207, as far as I know it’s still on…”

 (Updated): Okamoto just stated that Nevada State Athletic Commission executive director went on record that Cain Velasquez’s license has been revoked for medical reasons

Stefan Struve has volunteered on Twitter to replace Velasquez, but the UFC has not yet took him up on the offer.
