Bobby Green Makes A Quick Turnaround; Faces Beneil Dariush At UFC 222

Beneil “Benny” Dariush (14-3-1 MMA, 8-3-1 UFC) vs Bobby “King” Green (24-8-1 MMA, 5-3-1 UFC) set for UFC 222 March 3rd in Las Vegas.

Dariush (14-3-1 MMA, 8-3-1 UFC) is coming off a majority draw to Evan Dunham (18-6-1 MMA, 11-6-1 UFC) at UFC 216: Ferguson vs Lee. This was the first fight for Dariush in 7 months, after receiving a vicious second round knockout loss to Edson “Junior” Barboza (19-5 MMA, 13-5 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 106: Belfort vs Gastelum. Dariush is 2-2-1 in his last 5 Mixed Martial Arts bouts. His biggest win of his career came against #12 James”The Texecutioner” Vick (12-1 MMA, 8-1 UFC) via first round knockout at UFC 199, this is the only loss on Vick’s professional Mixed Martial Arts Career. Dariush has 14 wins, 9 coming by finish, 6 submission and 3 knockouts.

Green (24-8-1 MMA, 5-3-1 UFC) is going right back into UFC action, as he beat Erik “New Breed” Koch (15-6 MMA, 4-5 UFC) by unanimous decision at the most recent UFC event; UFC on FOX 27: Jacare vs Brunson on January 27th. This was Green’s first UFC win in 3 and a half years.
Green’s biggest win of his Mixed Martial Arts career came against now Bellator fighter Josh “The Punk” Thomson (22-9 MMA, 3-4 UFC) by spilt decision at UFC on Fox 12: Lawler vs Brown back in 2014. This was Green’s second most recent UFC win. Green is 1-3-1 in his last 5 Mixed Martial Art bouts. Out of his 24 Mixed Martial Art wins, 17 have came via finish, 10 via submission, and 7 via knockout.

This bout will be contested at lightweight (155lbs).
