The former Ultimate Fighter winner is on a tear and is ready for a step up in competition. He had an interview with Combate and informed him that he requested of the UFC a big name.
Even before the fight I asked to fight against the winner of Bisping x Gastelum. I’m better at every fight and I think it’s time to face a big name. If they gave me the Bisping, which I lost, I was not going to complain either. Every fight that passes is an apprenticeship and I always think beyond victory, in the evolution of performance. If I do not get the Gastelum or Bisping now, it’s worse for them, because I’ll be better over time,
The ball is now in the UFC ‘s court. They will decide if Junior is ready for a marquee matchup.
