It looks like UFC 206 has hit yet another hiccup. After losing the card’s original main event due to a Daniel Cormier injury, Anthony Pettis was expected to throw down with Max Holloway for the interim Featherweight title.
Pettis, preparing for his 2nd fight at 145, has missed weight weighing in at 148. While there has been no official announcement yet, speculation is that the fight will still take place for 5 rounds as the main event. If so, Holloway can still be named interim champion with a win, however, Pettis can not.
We will update this story when new details emerge.
UPDATE: The above situation remains true. Holloway will still be interim champ with a win. Pettis will forfeit 20% of his purse.
