Just over a week after Amanda Nunes and Valentina Shevchenko was supposed to fight their rematch has been rescheduled for UFC 215.
Nunes was set to defend her UFC bantamweight title against Shevchenko in the main event of 213, but Nunes was hospitalized the day of the fight with illness. According to UFC president, Dana White, Nunes was cleared by a doctor to fight but she decided to pull herself out of the contest.
Nunes defeated Shevchenko at UFC 196 by unanimous decision in March of 2014. Nunes is currently riding a five fight winning streak, including a TKO win over Ronda Rousey. Shevchenko has won two fights in a row since losing to Nunes.
UFC 215 is scheduled for September 9th in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
