UFC Tonight announced that Alistair Overeem and Francis Ngannou will fight at UFC 218.
Overeem, who is a former StrikeForce, Dream, and K-1 kickboxing champion, fought for the title in the UFC against Stipe Miocic but came up short. He rebounded in his last fight, by winning the trilogy fight over former UFC champion, Fabricio Werdum.
Ngannou is 5-0 in the UFC and on a nine-fight winning streak. He knocked out the former heavyweight champion, Andrei Arlovski in his last fight. He was supposed to fight Junior dos Santos at UFC 215 but dos Santos was removed from the contest after a USADA violation. Ngannou called out Overeem to replace dos Santos which created a back and forth fight between the two on Twitter.
UFC 218 is scheduled for December 2nd in Detroit, Michigan
