Dana White says Mayweather vs McGregor brought in 6.5 million Pay-Per Views
There is no official number released yet, but according to Dana White, the fight brought in 6.5 million Pay-Per Views. The figure was obtained while White was having a conversation with commentators Urijah Faber and Snoop Dogg. Both Faber and Snoop Dogg are commentators for Dana White’s Contender Series.
The conversation between the three was revealed on an Instagram video during the latest episode of Dana White’s Contender Series. White has previously said that he expected the fight to bring in somewhere near 5 million Pay-Per Views. If the numbers end up being true, it would shatter expectations. It would also shatter the previous record of 4.6 million Pay-Per Views. That number was set when Floyd Mayweather Jr took on Manny Pacquiao.
Floyd Mayweather Jr ended up defeating Conor McGregor in the 10th round by TKO. After the fight, Mayweather Jr said he had fought his last fight and will officially retire with an undefeated mark of 50-0. For McGregor, most expect him to make a return to the UFC to either defend his lightweight championship or possibly take on Nate Diaz for the third time.
